Ethyl 2-(4-cyanophenyl) - Preparation
Add ethyl 4-bromo-phenylacetate (423.7g) to the reactor under nitrogen protection, add NMP(2.1L) and CuCN(214g), heat to 200°C for reflux, stir at this temperature for 4 hours (analyze the product of this stage with IPC), cool to room temperature, add ethyl acetate (2.1L) and NH4Cl saturated aqueous solution (2.1L), filter, the organic layer is separated and cleaned with saturated NH4Cl(2.1L), the combined water layer is extracted with 1.2L ethyl acetate, the combined organic layer is cleaned with 1.2L saturated NaCl aqueous solution, layered, the organic layer is dried with NaSO4, concentrated, 200ml ethyl acetate and 2L PE are added, stirred for 30 minutes, filtered and dried to obtain the compound 4-cyano-ethyl phenylacetate (220g, yield 67.9%,IPC.
